Aquatic Designs Attends the 15th Annual Broward County Airboat Show & Festival
Aquatic designs unveiled a new design of airboats featuring the Black Widow. The Black Widow is a revolutionary new design in airboats that incorporates twin 1340 Harley-Davidson ® Evolution Engines ® . With its twin 42” propellers and unique spider web cage design, the Black Widow attracted great interest. The Aquatic Designs crew received positive comments from a crowd that was estimated to be above 5000 people over the two day period. Several of the attendees stated “that it was nice to see a new innovation in this market”.
Aquatic Designs set out with this project to set themselves apart from the standard airboat. They wanted to create an airboat that was both useful, but yet very attractive. The Black Widow is geared toward bringing a new customer into the market of air boating that might not have previously considered an airboat. With its low cage, The Black Widow fits into a standard garage and is excellent for traveling under low bridges. The 13' fiberglass hull designed by Hartline, uses a 2° wedge along with Frog Spit friction reduction agent to allow the boat to maneuver through various conditions.
